Aligning Make2D-vector on Render
The isometric view are a useful command creating measurable "3D" drawing. But, have you ever wondered why a vectorized version (make2D) never align with a render of the very same 3D model? It was not until doing a favor for StartupLab of pimping up an image, I was put to the test of solving this mystery, once and for all!
After struggling for a while, I called my technical advisor, Magnus Kvalheim and he told me something interesting. Rhino emulate real-life conditions, so whatever that's in front of the on screen, is actually looked through the lens of a "real" or virtual lens within Rhino, either it be 15 or 50mm lens. The command, Make2D, transforms the model into a vectorized version, which could never exist through any lens, virtual or real. Even though you are looking through an isometric view on Rhino! Yet, Kvalheim only gave me a diagnosis and not a cure to my predicament.
"If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain". Meaning, if the camera cannot be tweaked or changed, then the object in front of the camera has to be changed instead, or to be more direct: scaled to the right size! By re-scaling the object in front of camera, the imagery magically is adjusting itself into the vector lines overlaying. To test out the effects of this method, I scaled the object 10 times less (0.1) and 3 times bigger (3.0).
