LAA350 - From-analysis-to-concept
Tin will for the first time hold the lecture, “From-analysis-to-concept”, emphasizing the importance of connecting the two. This may sound contradictory in a field with wicked problems or no right-or-wrong-answers, yet it is crucial for coherency for any concept or deliverables. Another motive for holding this lecture, is to separate the different parts of the planning process, taught in EIE310, LAA350, and APL350.
This presentation is a “direct commission” from Terje Holsen, course responsible at APL350, to distinguish between approaches used in project development "(LAA350), and the ones used in project implementation (APL350). The three courses follows three different parts of the early stage planning process, which can be explained in consecutive order: property market and analysis (EIE310), project development (LAA350), and project implementation (APL350). Digging deeper, another issue emerges, as some of the students are recycling the deliverables in LAA350 over to EIE310. The presentation follows a simple structure and consists of only 45 min:

The course LAA350 - Projects in Urban Planning is a 20 ECTS course, focusing on the urban development of the city centre in the medium-sized city Sarpsborg. The course encourages studies of structures, massing and in-between spaces. LAA350 was conceived and previously led by professor Elin Børrud, before her departure this year.
