To earn a quick buck, Tin conducted a few competitions sworn in secrecy. It is none of your business who the client was, who he collaborated with, why he was not credited, who his competitors where, how he came to acquire this project etc. etc. There is one important aspect he contributed to: a formula on how to generate estimates on when housing speculation succeeds and when it fails!
Tin’s housing speculation formula optimising the apt. size distribution on a proposal. Without disclosing too much, a point system was devised, making nearby housing projects comparable based on apt. size categories of 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 100+ sqm apt. Then the square meter prices within each category. All these numbers were simplified into a ranking system - meaning, to pinpoint which developer had speculated the best in putting the most units with the highest sqm prices.
